Why families need more than just help
As our population ages, more families are facing the quiet challenges of caregiving, often without guidance. Our loved ones are living longer, but not always with the support they need to thrive at home.
We believe aging should be met with dignity and not isolation, and that care should be shaped by deep connection. We exist to walk with families through this new reality, offering dependable and heart-centered care that honors the person beyond the need.
Our humble beginnings
Southern California Caregiving began in 2014 with the belief that both caregivers and clients deserve to be seen, supported and treated with dignity.
Our founder, Rose Sarmiento, spent years as a home care aide in Los Angeles. She understood the quiet weight of caregiving: the long hours, the emotional labor, the deep responsibility of showing up for someone’s family.
But she also saw the opportunity to build a care community where both caregivers and the people they serve could thrive.

Decade-strong caregiving
What began as a small caregiving agency has grown into a trusted care provider for families across Southern California.
For over a decade, we’ve offered relationship-first care rooted in lived experience, social work values, and the warmth of our Filipino heritage, creating care that feels personal, purposeful and deeply human.
Now guided by a new generation of leadership, we continue Rose’s mission: supporting families with steady, compassionate care and uplifting the caregivers who make it all possible.
