COVID-19 Updates

COVID-19 Information

We implement safety and health protocols

Southern California Caregiving is still here for you and will continue to provide compassionate homecare to our clients during this time of crisis.

Rest assured that we are doing what it takes to keep our patients, caregivers and support staff safe during the pandemic.

We are also encouraging our caregivers and support staff to participate in vaccination programs within their communities if available to them.

We understand your concerns regarding health and safety. We assure you that we are adhering to safety protocols under the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), as well as additional infection control policies and practices already in place.

We are implementing the following guidelines:

Cleaning and disinfection
We make sure to keep all areas of the home clean and properly sanitized. Cleaning protocols include:

1. Frequent handwashing and sanitizing before coming in contact with our clients
2. Cleaning and wiping of surfaces such as table tops, chairs, doorknobs and light switches
3. Proper hygiene and disinfection training for our caregivers and staff
Caregiver health checks
We ensure that our caregivers are in great health. We communicate constantly to monitor their condition, whether they are sick, exhibiting COVID-19 symptoms and had close contact with people diagnosed with the virus or under quarantine.

If any of these conditions are present, our caregivers are instructed to stay home and provide a fit-to-work order before assigning them to our clients.
Client health checks
Southern California Caregiving conducts virtual or phone checks with all clients to ensure that they are feeling well and if there’s anything needed before the visit.

If clients are exhibiting symptoms of COVD-19, we advise them to seek the assistance of their healthcare provider immediately. We will also coordinate with our clients to find out ways on how we can continue the care they need.

Southern California Caregiving will continue to provide resources and other details as soon as they become available. For more information about COVID-19, please visit the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) website below.
